Leadership Program
Human Resources Leadership Program (HRLP) is a functional management program for candidates with an MBA in HR and 0 to 36 months of full-time pre-MBA work experience. During the first year, participants undergo 3 HR stints across various portfolios. Each stint is 4 months long. Upon successful completion, participants are placed into a mandatory industrial relations role at one of the many Aditya Birla Group manufacturing sites. Upon completion of 2 years at the plant, participants have the option to continue their plant role or explore corporate HR roles in any of the Group’s businesses.
Students pursuing a full-time MBA in HR from select business schools with 0 – 36 months of pre-MBA work experience are eligible to apply for the HRLP program. The business schools where we currently hire students from include:

We also recruit interns from other top institutes in the country based on their exemplary performance in campus competitions/ wildcard rounds, or recipients of the Aditya Birla Scholarships.
Every HRLP participant undergoes 1 year of training, which consists of 3 stints of 4 months each in different areas of HR across the manufacturing and service businesses.
- Participants get posted in a HR/IR role at a manufacturing location. A 24-month stint at a manufacturing site is mandatory for an HRLP participant.
- Upon completion of 2 years in their initial plant role, participants take on an HR generalist role in either the manufacturing or services businesses.
